That One Time I Sculpted An Orc

I love sculpting. Don’t do it enough any more. But I did play around with Sculptris a little while ago for fun.

Highlight of that experiment was a bard orc character I was making for DnD.

Orc Bard 1

Goofy hat courtesy of a (15th C.?) french training helmet I pulled out of an arms and armor book, but he’s actually quite pretty under there.

Bard Orc 3

As a bonus: two views of a lizard warrior thing. I broke my video card before I could finish her arms. Oops. (Also I want her boots. They look warm.)

An image from the Hawaiian model series.  Aka: I’ve got a lot of good gestures lying around all of the same guy.

Some News!

I’ve added a production experience tab to my website.  Super exciting no?

Yeah… not really.

But, that also means I can be vocal about a project I worked on several months ago – no more vow of secrecy for me!

Yup, I did the storyboards for the animated opening to CESAR 911, Cesar Millan’s (The Dog Whisperer) new show on Nat Geo Wild.  It’s airing March 7th and 9pm.

Go watch.

Fun Dancer Lady

sketchbook page featuring a female dancer

I suspect this model (the lady) may have been an exotic dancer in another life.  She was very strong, flexible, and felt comfortable posing upside down for extended periods of time.

She was terribly fun to draw!
